Violet
ABOUT
A radical and immersive rave opera designed to exorcise outdated survivor narratives and reclaim joy. Created in collaboration with survivors, Violet Disruption is a story of healing through pleasure, eroticism, and rage—beckoning audiences toward a future that starts with the ecstatic liberation of the dance floor.
Blending music, movement, and verbatim survivor testimonies, the piece is a ferocious act of defiance, fighting for hope amid bleak realities. This large-scale performance is for survivors, allies, and all those reimagining justice in cases of sexual violence—a collective act of defiant joy and communal healing.
